<ul><li>Senior Software Engineer-II (GIS Developer)

Objective of the Role:

Design and build next generation GIS tools, components and applications using open-source GIS (Postgres, Python, QGIS) and ESRI ArcGIS technologies. Design scalable, configurable, and high-performance GIS application components that plug and play in RMS software applications.

Build GIS development platform for state-of-the-art geospatial components for RMS products. Be part of technical leadership team to maintain and deliver features and components that meet client requirements.

Key Accountabilities &amp; Deliverables:
• Design and build GIS development platform using Open-source technologies like Postgres Python and QGIS.
• Build automation tools and components for GIS platform that enhance team productivity during data production and development
• Develop, document and test new features in Geospatial components.
• Involved in bug fixes and maintain existing code base and technical documentation
• Participate and actively involved in technical design decisions
• Participate in code and documentation reviews and peer technical design reviews and provide technical feedback to manager as part of task assignment
• Improve technical capabilities and soft skills as identified through performance goals during the review process.

Technical Experience Required: Skills required
• Tech/BE/MCA having minimum 5 years of Software design and programming experience in GIS domain
• Good experience with geographic databases, back and front-end development environment.
• Solid understanding of geospatial technologies (ArcGIS, MapInfo scripting, ArcSDE).
• Good programming skills.
• Good knowledge of Python programming.
• Good knowledge of MS SQL Server/Oracle/PostGres SQL (stored procedures, packages, and functions).
• Experience in PostGIS is an added advantage.
• Experience of System Administration activities of ESRI Geodatabase is an added advantage.
• Experience of LiDAR/DSM/DEM/DTM is an added advantage.
